About Barnacles Temple Bar House
Welcome to Barnacles Temple Bar House in Dublin. Situated in the centre of Dublin's Cultural District- Temple Bar. We are winners of the '2007 & 2006 BEST HOSTEL' category for the Green, Clean & Safe Awards.
Step out the front door onto the cobbled streets of the Temple Bar district where you can soak up the atmosphere of our cultural city. Situated only two doors away from the famous 'Temple Bar' pub.
Whether you choose to take the hop on/hop off city tour bus or venture to the countryside for a scenic day trip to Glendalough, our staff are always at hand to reserve these tours for you plus many more.
Barnacles Temple Bar House is only a few minutes walk to Trinity College, Dublin Castle, The Old Jameson Distillery and Christchurch Cathedral plus many more of our world famous tourist attractions.
Barnacles Temple Bar House has a variety of rooms available, from doubles, twins, 4 beds, 6 beds and an 11bed room. ALL our rooms are ensuite and each bed has a built in under-bed locker to secure your luggage during your stay. Most rooms at the front of the buliding have their own balconies overlooking the cobbled streets of Temple Bar.
We offer a free contentinal breakfast to all our guests (tea, coffee, toast and orange juice) which is provided in our fully equipped self catering kitchen each morning from 7-9.30am.
Our newly refurbished TV lounge provides a bright and spacious chill out zone. Whether you wish to read a book, check your emails, watch a DVD (we have a selection available from Reception) or hang out with your new roommates, this is the place to do it.
Check in is at 3pm and check out is at 10.30am. Left luggage facilites are available.

Please note we do have a 24 hour cancellation policy for all hostelsclub guests. Any cancellations or changes to bookings must be received by 3pm 24 hours prior to your arrival date.

I have stayed in a number of hostels around Europe, and Barnacles was one of the best. The location is very convenient for anything you want to do in Dublin, and it is close to the train station if you're going further afield. It is noisy at night because the area is very crowded with bars full of folks singing Old Lang Syne, but if you're in the bar it isn't a concern.

awesome location!!!! you can walk anywhere from this location and temple bar is where all the nightlife is at. i really liked staying there and am planning on staying there when we make our way back there in july. No complaints whatsoever.

It is located in a great location, but it seemed that all of the pubs closed very early, so people went to sleep very early. Coming from Spain, most people don't end the night until after 3 am, but I think this had more to do with the city than the actual hostel. Would definitely recommend this hostel to friends.

perfectly located, clean, sympathetic!
Irritating however that you are charged for the same service (10 bed dorm) 14 € through Internet-booking and 21 € when just walking in.

Super Lage, weil man mitten im Kneipenviertel ist, aber halt auch sehr laut.
Ansonsten kenn ich bessere, aber auch schlechtere Hostels. War ok.

Abbiamo prenotato per 4 persone ma quando siamo arrivati la notte c'erano solo piu tre letti liberi. Lo staff pero' e' stato molto gentile e ci e' stata data un'atra camera. Un po' di disorganizzazione ma nel complesso sufficiente.
